DESCRIPTION: EPW - Vacheron & Constantin, Genève, minute repeater with split-seconds chronograph and 30-minute minute register, 49mm, 18K gold OF original case with small Jurgensen-style lips, slide on band at 11 to prevent chronograph activation, gold cuvette, white enamel DS dial, fancy gold Louis XV style hands, SW-SS, fully capped lever escapement with counterpoise, likely 33-39J, wheel satin nickel finish, s#318416. Gross weight of assembled watch 65.9 dwt (102.4 g).
CONDITION: Mvt: Running after a twist to start, good repeat function and tone, good chronograph function aside from occasional tendency of hand to stall for a beat before skipping ahead to correct position, good split-seconds and minute register function, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, very small fine scratches adjacent stem detent screw, few micro-fine scratches elsewhere, one chronograph element with a ding; dial flawless aside from a tiny bit of white fill evident at seating of minute register indicating it has been re-secured; virtually mint hands; case shows hardly any wear, few slight dings and nicks to band between 1 and 3, no dents, case rear opens a small bit short of 90 degrees (to approximately 80 degrees); tight bow, crown shows hardly any wear; glass crystal with very small fine scratch left of center.
